No, Virat Kohli has not extended support to Congress' Bharat Jodo Yatra

Social media users are sharing a photo of Indian cricketer Virat Kohli that shows him wearing a t-shirt with the logo of Bharat Jodo Yatra. The users have claimed that Kohli has extended support to the Congress party's Bharat Jodo Yatra.

A Twitter user shared the photo and wrote, "Now Virat Kohli also stands in support of Bharat Jodo Yatra…"

Fact Check

NewMeter performed a reverse image search of the photo and found the same photo in an article by Stylerug titled "Top 10 Virat Kohli Fashion Photos." However, the same photo in this article has no logo of Bharat Jodo Yatra on Kohli's t-shirt.

Entertainment and lifestyle website, Pinkvilla, has also used this photo in an article published on 24 September 2016. It said ace photographer Rohan Shrestha shared a black and white headshot photograph of Kohli on his Instagram.

Further, we searched for the photo on the Instagram account of Rohan Shrestha and found it posted on 23 September 2016. However, we did not find the logo of Bharat Jodo Yatra on Kohli's t-shirt.

Finally, we searched for news reports about Virat Kohli extending support to Bharat Jodo Yatra but did not find any such report.

It is evident that Virat Kohli has not extended support to Congress' Bharat Jodo Yatra, and the viral photo is morphed. Hence, the claim is false.
