Fact check

NewsMeter found the claim to be false.

We started our investigation by closely analyzing the newspaper clipping and found that the date of publishing is mentioned as 26th September 2021. We further ran a search to see the original newspaper published on the same day and found an entirely different cover page altogether.

We could not spot anything regarding Prime Minister Modi. Rather we found a report featuring a picture of a bridge with the headline, ' A Nation Transformed Under Merkel Moves On'.
