HYDERABAD: A video bulletin of Sakshi News about the Center for Psephology Studies (CPS) opinion poll is viral on social media. Social media users claim that the Center for Psephology Studies (CPS) opinion poll has predicted the YSR Congress party's return to power in 2024.

CPS poll said YSR Congress party is likely to win 121 seats in 130 member AP Legislative Assembly.

The same news bulletin video was published by Sakshi News Agency on 04 April 2019 on their YouTube channel. In the video, the CPS survey revealed that the YSR Congress party will win 121 to 130 seats in the 2019 AP elections while the TDP will win 45 to 54 seats. Janasena party will win 1 to 2 seats. Sakshi News Agency also published an article on the survey.


A few other news outlets also reported the results of the CPS survey for the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly election. Click here to read a report by Telugu News 18.


However, not a single news agency has reported that the CPS has recently released its survey for the 2024 Andhra Pradesh election.

Based on these details, it is clear that the video shared online was related to the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly election.
