Hyderabad: Videos and pictures related to heavy monsoon are being shared on social media. One such picture of waterlogging in an underpass is being shared on social media.
A poster of PM Modi and CM Yogi Adityanath on the wall of waterlogged underpass is also going viral.
It is being claimed that this picture is from PM Modi's Lok Sabha constituency Varanasi.
Fact Check
The claim is False.
NewsMeter performed a Google Reverse Image Search and found a report by Patrika which was published on August 13, 2018.
While doing the search, we found a website that had published a similar picture. The website had stated that on Aug 12, 2018, commuters make their way through a railway underpass where posters of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Aditya Nath are displayed. The picture was clicked in Allahabad.
Evidently, the claim is False. The picture is from Allahabad, not Varanasi. It has been in circulation since 2018.
