Fact Check

NewsMeter performed a reverse image search of the video's keyframe and found a video report by Chinese state media, CGTN, published on YouTube on 20 February 2021. The viral clip in this report appears around the 1.45-minute mark. As per the report, the video shows a Chinese troop injured during a clash with Indian troops in June 2020.

We also found the viral clip in a video report published by the Korean YouTube channel YTN on 22 February 2021. The report said that the video shows the visuals of the conflict between China and India in the Galwan valley in Ladakh.

We also found the image of the injured soldier as seen in the viral video in a 2021 article published by Money Control titled "Galwan Valley clash | China releases visuals of bloody face-off". As per the report, the image shows Qi Fabao, the regimental commander of China's People's Liberation Army (PLA), who was injured during the Galwan valley troops face-off on 15 June 2020.

It is evident that the viral clip of the injured soldier is old and has been internet since 2021. Hence, we conclude that the claim is misleading that the video shows the visual of an injured Chinese troop from the recent India-China clash in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh.
