Fact Check
NewsMeter found that the claim is misleading.
A reverse image search led to a post by an X account āThe Firstā posted on April 20, 2021, with the caption, āINTENSE: UK bar owner kicks out pro-lockdown politician. That man is not allowed in my pub! Get out of my pub!ā
This indicates that the video is not recent. In 2021, Boris Johnson was the prime minister of the United Kingdom, not Keir Starmer.
Further, a keyword search led to a report by the Independent titled, āKeir Starmer kicked out of Bath pub by landlord,ā dated July 9, 2021.
According to the report, Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer was thrown out of a pub in Bath by an anti-lockdown landlord who blamed the opposition politician for the UKās Covid-19 response during a visit to the city. The landlord of The Raven pub on Queen Street shouted at Sir Keir, telling him to leave.
We found another report by BBC, dated April 19, 2021, titled āStarmer thrown out of Bath pub in lockdown row,ā which also stated that the Labour leader was asked to leave the pub by the landlord, during his campaign visit to Bath ahead of the elections.
Hence, the claim that the current British PM was thrown out of a pub is misleading. The video is old and shows an incident from 2021 involving Keir Starmer, who was not the Prime Minister at the time.
