Upon a reverse image search of the video’s keyframe, we found the video on YouTube, uploaded by a channel named Waziristan Music on March 30, 2021, titled ‘Bannu Dj dance | Pashto Funny dance | afshari saaz | waziristan music.’

We also found that the video had gone viral in 2021, with users and media outlets falsely claiming that it showed the Taliban group celebrating after taking over Afghanistan. Click here and here to watch posts that debunked the claim.

Calling out TV9 Bharatvarsh for broadcasting the video that claimed that it showed the Taliban group celebration after taking over Afghanistan, Iftikhar Firdous, a Pakistan-based journalist, had posted the video on X stating it shows marriage in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.

Hence, we conclude that the video dates back to at least 2021 and does not show celebrations in Afghanistan after the country defeated Pakistan in the ongoing Cricket World Cup 2023.
