Amidst the speculation, a video of Shah Rukh Khan reportedly pushing someone in a crowd is viral on social media, with users claiming that the actor slapped a fan who shouted that 'Dunki' is a remake of a Malayalam movie.
An X premium user shared the video with the caption, āThis is Bizarre !! #SRK was seen slapping a fan when someone from the crowd shouted that #Dunki is a remake of the 2017 Malayalam movie #CIA No matter how famous you get, never play with the emotions of Fans.ā

NewsMeter found that the video is from 2016 and has no links to Dunki.
On performing a reverse image search of the videoās keyframe, we found an extended version of the video in a report by Bollywood.com from September 20, 2016. It showed Khan clicking pictures with the fans after the scuffle. According to the report, the incident took place while SRK was shooting for Imtiaz Aliās film. It said SRK had pushed away a fan who was up for some mischief.
We also found the extended version of the video published by Movie Talkies on September 19, 2016, titled āFan CRIES After Shahrukh Khan Insults & Pushes Him In Public.ā It also showed the clip of the fan crying who was pushed.
We also found a video uploaded in 2016 in which the fan who was pushed away by SRK, apologized for his misbehaviour. The video is titled, āShah Rukh Khan's Fan Apologizing for Misbehaving with him in Turkey.ā
Hence, we conclude that the viral video of SRK pushing away a fan is from 2016 and is being falsely linked to SRKās upcoming film āDunkiā.
