Fact Check
NewsMeter found that the video is from Haryana’s Mewat from 2022.
On performing a reverse image search of the video’s keyframe, we found it posted by a Facebook account, Muslims of India, on August 14, 2022. The caption read, “This is Mewat, India! #IndiaAt75.”
Taking this as a cue, we ran a relevant keyword and found a still from the video carried by the Hindi report of News18 from August 14, 2022. As per the report, the Tiranga rally was taken out by the student of Jamia Arabia Afzal Madrasa in Haryana’s Nuh district.
The official X handle of the Haryana BJP also posted the video on August 14, 2022, stating that the video is from Mahwan village of Haryana’s Nuh district.
The video was also reported by Haryana Tak on August 14, 2022, with the same details.
Hence, we conclude that the video shows the Tiranag rally by the students of Madrasa in Haryana’s Nuh district. The claim that the video is from Kashmir is false.
