Photo of Malaysian university falsely passed off as new AIIMS Bilaspur campus
A photo of some buildings is being shared on social media with the claim that it is the new AIIMS.

Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently inaugurated the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at Bilaspur. Following this, a photo of some buildings is being shared on social media with the claim that it is the new AIIMS.

AIIMS, Bilaspur is constructed at a cost of more than Rs. 1,470 crores and is a state-of-the-art hospital with 18 specialty and 17 super-specialty departments, 18 modular operation theatres, and 750 beds with 64 ICU beds. Spread over 247 acres, the hospital is equipped with 24 hours emergency and dialysis facilities, modern diagnostic machines like ultrasonography, CT scan, MRI etc., Amrit Pharmacy and Jan Aushadhi Kendra, and a 30-bed AYUSH block.
There is a lot of buzz around the upgraded and lavish newly-constructed institute. But is the viral photo of AIIMS Bilaspur? Let's find out.

NewsMeter performed a keyword search to find the real images of AIIMS Bilaspur. The viral image did not match the real images of the institute.

A tweet by ANI also confirmed the same.
From this, it is clear that the viral image is not of AIIMS Bilaspur.
We closely analysed the viral image and found that it has the acronym "XMUM" which is clearly visible at the centre of the buildings. Taking this as a cue, we ran a keyword search on Google to locate the viral image.
We found that the acronym XMUM stands for Xiamen University Malaysia, a private university located in Bandar Sunsuria, Sepang, Selangor in Malaysia. It's the first overseas campus set up by a Chinese public university and the first Chinese university branch campus in Malaysia.
