Fact Check: Prank video falsely shared as Muslim man in Telangana urinating into food
No credible media organisations have reported any such incident in Warangal.

Claim: The video shows a Muslim man urinating into a pot of food in a hotel in Warangal, Telangana.
Fact: The claim is false. The video is a prank.
Hyderabad: A video has gone viral with the claim that a Muslim man in Warangal, Telangana, was seen urinating into a large steel pot containing food that looks like pieces of gulab jamun.
An X user shared the video with the caption: “Warangal, Telangana: Peeing on food in a hotel run by Muslims.” (Archive)

Fact Check
NewsMeter found that the claim is false.
A reverse image search of the video’s keyframes led us to an X post from 2022 that featured the same video with the caption, “What is the name of this #जिहाद after food jihad?”
This indicated that the video was not recent.
We also found a longer version of the video in a reply to the above post.
At the end of the 17-second video, it becomes evident that the person is holding a bottle from which a liquid is being poured into the tub, indicating that the video was intended to be a visual prank.
Although the video has the logo of an Instagram page called ‘ashiq.billota’, the page is currently unavailable.
Additionally, no credible news portals have reported any such incident in Warangal, in connection with the Muslim community. On July 19, Majid Hussain, an AIMIM MLA from the Nampally constituency, announced on social media that he had lodged a complaint based on instructions from Asaduddin Owaisi regarding a viral video targeting the Muslim community. An FIR has been registered in connection with this issue.
Although NewsMeter couldn't independently verify the origin of the video, it is evident that the claim is false since the video is a prank.
