Hyderabad: A Facebook reel showing two men eve-teasing a burkha-clad woman at a bus stop has gone viral as a real incident. The video also shows a third man rescuing the woman.

A Facebook user shared the video saying that “Ayyappa Swamy” rescued the woman.

On performing a reverse image search of the video’s keyframe, we found a longer version of it published by a YouTube channel, Eagle Eye. According to the caption, it is a safety awareness and motivational video.

A disclaimer in the description said the channel features scripted dramas and parodies for entertainment and educational purposes.

The channel has over 15,000 subscribers and regularly publishes scripted videos with the same disclaimer. The about section of the channel reads, “Thank you for watching! Please be aware that this Channel features scripted dramas and parodies as well. These short films are for entertainment & educational purposes only!”

Hence, we conclude that the viral video does not show a real incident.
