An image was posted on social media claiming that actor Shruti Haasan displayed a morphed image of Lord Mahavishnu.

Hyderabad: An image was posted on social media claiming that actor Shruti Haasan displayed a morphed image of Lord Mahavishnu.
"Shruti Haasan showed the morphed image of Lord Mahavishnu on camera. She put this image of a football player like this at her home and proudly displayed that to the host (The Quint) (sic)," reads the message.

Fact Check:
The claim is misleading. The face in the image is not of a football player but of Jimi Hendrix – Singer, Musician, and Songwriter. The spelling of Shruti Haasan is also wrong in the post (Hasan)
Fact Check team of News Meter conducted a reverse image search and found that this image is of an Album poster of Jimi Hendrix.

The caption with the post stated, "On this day in 1967; Jimi Hendrix Experience's sophomore album AXIS: BOLD AS LOVE was released in the UK"
Secondly, we found the YouTube video of Shruti Haasan's interview with the Quint and she clearly mentions "Jimmy the great (5:15)"

Axis: Bold as Love is the second studio album by the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Track Records first released it in the United Kingdom on December 1, 1967, only seven months after the release of the group's highly successful debut, Are You Experienced. In the United States, Reprise Records delayed the release until the following month. The album reached the top ten in the album charts in both countries.
Conclusion: Hence the claim is misleading. The image is not of a football player. Instead, it is a poster of Jimi Hendrix's Bold as love.
