Fact Check:
The claim that the landscape seen in the picture is the ranch owned by Mark Zuckerberg is FALSE. This is NOT his home village in Mount Fletcher.
In July 2017, Mark Zuckerberg posted this photo along with others when he visited a ranch in South Dakota. He starts off the post with the statement, "I had lunch today with Norman family on their 2500 cattle ranch in South Dakota".
In this post, he goes on to say that he always thought they should be thankful and understand where the food comes from. That year he set a goal to only eat meat and helped butcher himself.
This visit of Zuckerberg to the ranch was also featured in few publications like beefmagazine.com.
In another article by independent, the consequences of Zuckerberg's post have been discussed. "Why not everyone was impressed by Mark Zuckerberg's farm visit," read the headline of the article.
Hence, the claim that Mark Zuckerberg is a herdsman is false. The landscape seen in the picture is not his ranch. Plus this is NOT his home village. The viral image shows Norman ranch in South Dakota which was visited by Mark Zuckerberg in 2017.
