Hyderabad: Social media users are sharing a post claiming that Tamil actor Rajinikanth is going to meet people's council executives to discuss whether to return to politics or not.

NewsMeter searched on Google with relevant keywords and found a tweet by Dinamalar News website posted in 2021 about Tamil actor Rajnikanth meeting people's council executives. We visited Rajinikanth's Twitter page to see if he made any announcement on that date.
We found that he had posted a tweet on July 12, 2021. A letter attached to it says that he will not enter politics.
We searched on YouTube for Rajini's interview. We found a video uploaded in 2021. In the video, he is heard saying that there is a question about whether I am going to join politics next or not. I will inform you after talking to the administrators.
Rajini has confirmed that he has no intention of joining politics after the executive meeting citing health concerns.
Hence, the claim is false.
