Did SRK wear body suit to fake a toned body in Pathaan? Viral image is fake

Hyderabad: A photo of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan wearing a body suit is doing the rounds on social media. The photo shows SRK trying to fit into a body suit. People are claiming that he wore the body suit to fake six-pack abs for his recent movie ‘Pathaan.’

‘Pathaan’ has been the topic of many controversies from the song “Besharam” to its blockbuster collections.

The caption of the picture reads “Pathan’s collection is as genuine as his body in the picture,” suggesting that the film’s collection is as fake as SRK’s body in this picture.

NewsMeter found that the image has been morphed.

On performing a simple reverse image of the viral picture, we found a similar image on the website Cine Series. The photo is titled “Thor Lebowski particularly relaxed behind the scenes.” The photo is from behind the scenes of the movie ‘Avengers: Endgame’ and shows actor Chris Hemsworth, who plays Thor, trying to fit into the bodysuit. On analysing the picture, we found that SRK’s face has been morphed into this photo.

We also found a video on Instagram from which the viral image has been taken. In the video, Chris Hemsworth is wearing a body suit for the shooting of the movie ‘Avengers: Endgame’. The caption of the post reads, “For the shooting of the movie ‘Avengers’, Chris Hemsworth wore a special suit, weighing more than 30 kg! And makeup took several hours every day. Good thing I didn’t have to gain real weight.”

We also noticed that in the original picture, the body suit was used to make Chris Hemsworth look bulkier but in the viral image, the bodysuit has also been morphed to show a toned body.

From this, it is evident that the viral image has been morphed. Hence, the claim is false.
