A poster of Shahrukh Khan's upcoming film 'Jawan' is widely circulating on social media. Users claim that he has renamed his film 'Pathan' fearing a boycott.
"Loser renames his upcoming film #Pathan as #Jawan. Renaming Paratha to #Puri will not do anything loser. Boycott means boycott," the caption said.
'My way is high way' attitude of a few Bollywood actors has angered the public, resulting in the current boycott trend in Bollywood.
Recently Amir Khan-starring Lal Singh Chadda also became the victim of this rage.
In the same way, Liger has also been boycotted. #Boycottbrahmastra is standing next in line.
Shahrukh Khan's upcoming movie Pathan is already on the hit list of the boycott gang. A new movie poster of Shahrukh Khan's Jawan has surfaced on social media.
Netizens have claimed that Shahrukh Khan has renamed Pathan as Jawan.

NewsMeter performed a keyword search and found that Pathan and Jawan are two different movies starring Shah Rukh Khan which are to be released in 2023. We found Pathan will be released on January 25, 2023.
Jawan is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language action thriller written and directed by Atlee. It stars Shah Rukh Khan, Vijay Sethupathi, and Nayanthara. The film's music has been composed by AnirudhRavichander.
For further confirmation, we scanned social media handles for related trailers of both movies.
We found the official trailer of Pathan on a verified YouTube channel 'BollygradStudioz' dated 23rdOct 2020.
We also found the official trailer of Jawan on a verified YouTube channel 'Red Chillies Entertainment. The official trailer was published with the title 'JAWAN | Title Announcement | Shah Rukh Khan | Atlee Kumar | 02 JUNE 2023' dated 3rd June 2022.
We found an India Today report. Quoting a senior industry source, ETimes said: "There is no truth in rumors about title change of Pathaan. The makers are so confident about the title that they released John's first look with the same title." The source also shared that if Pathaan producers (YRF) were considering a title change post online flak, they would have changed the film's promotional strategy. However, no such thing is happening."
Pathan has not been renamed Jawan fearing a boycott trend.
Hence, the claim is false.
