Hyderabad: India vs Pakistan remains one of the most intense rivalries in world cricket, drawing massive attention from fans globally. The two teams clashed in the group stage of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, where India outplayed Pakistan, knocking them out of the tournament. Fact Check:

NewsMeter found that the viral claim is misleading. The video actually shows Team India’s T20 World Cup 2024 victory parade at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.

A reverse image search of a keyframe from the viral video led to an article published by The Times of India titled ‘Was it Virat Kohli's idea to sing 'Vande Mataram' with Wankhede crowd during Team India's victory lap?’ The article, dated July 8, 2024, included an image matching the viral video.

The article states that after India’s thrilling victory against South Africa in the T20 World Cup final, Rohit Sharma and his team embarked on a victory lap at Wankhede Stadium, celebrating with fans and expressing gratitude for their support.

Further, we found that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had shared the same video on its official X (formerly Twitter) and Indian Cricket Team Facebook accounts on July 4, 2024, with the caption ‘Vande Mataram ’.

A further keyword search also led us to an India Today article titled ‘India's open-bus victory parade in Mumbai: Top 10 moments and quotes’, published on July 4, 2024. It mentioned that Team India celebrated their T20 World Cup win with an open-bus parade along Marine Drive before heading to Wankhede Stadium, where they danced and sang with thousands of fans.

India ended an 11-year wait for an ICC trophy by winning the 2024 T20 World Cup, held in the USA and the West Indies. Under the leadership of Rohit Sharma, India defeated South Africa in a dramatic final to secure their second T20 World Cup title.
