Hyderabad: Social media users are sharing a video of a temple decorated with currency notes. Users said it is Tirupati Balaji temple.
The video carried a caption in Hindi., "A glimpse of unique decoration with Indian notes instead of flowers. It is Tirupati Balaji temple of Andhra Pradesh," reads the English translation of the message

The claim is false.
NewsMeter performed a reverse image search and keyword search which lead us to similar visuals on YouTube. The video titled: "Sri Kanyaka Parameswari temple decorated with currency notes| Nellore | Dussehra 2021 | SumanTv."
Other similar videos were uploaded on October 2021, on YouTube. The videos are from Kanyaka Parameswari temple in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh.
We also found a few news articles reporting on the special decoration in the Sri Kanyaka Parameswari temple. As per the reports, during Dasara celebrations(2021), the temple Committee decorated the deity with currency notes worth ₹5.16 crore.
The media outlets published the same.
But, we did not find any media reports on the Tirupati Balaji temple decorated with currency notes.
