NewsMeter found a tweet where the team took to Twitter to refute the viral claim. The team shared a copy of the car insurance.
Sharing the photo of the insurance on Twitter, Riaz wrote, "For the past few days, news stating that #ThalapathyVijay's car insurance is still due and has been doing the rounds on social media. Here is a copy of the insurance, in which it is clearly stated that the insurance is valid till May 28, 2022! (sic)."
On February 19, the actor arrived at the polling booth to cast his vote in the urban civic poll election in Neelangarai. He was surrounded by media and fans. Sensing that he caused inconvenience to the public, he apologized.
