An image of a man touching the feet of former Congress party president Sonia Gandhi is going viral on social media. Those sharing the image claim that the photo shows former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh touching Sonia Gandhi’s feet.

On performing a reverse image search, we found the same image on the photo stock website Getty Images published on 29 November 2011. According to the caption, the photo shows a representative touching the feet of Sonia Gandhi during the Indian Youth Congress’s national-level convention.

The viral photo shows the man touching Soni Gandhi’s feet wearing a yellow turban, however, this photo shows Manmohan Singh wearing a blue turban.
Hence, we conclude that the viral image does not show Manmohan Singh touching Sonia Gandhi’s feet.
