This video does not show satellite images of recent earthquake that hit Indonesia
A time-lapse video showing satellite images of destruction went viral, claiming that it showed the quake that hit Indonesia on 21 November.

Hyderabad: On 21 November, an earthquake of 5.6 magnitude struck the main Indonesian island of Java. It reportedly killed 271 people, including children. Several people were missing and hundreds were injured.
Following the calamity, a time-lapse video showing satellite images of destruction went viral, claiming that it showed the quake that hit Indonesia on 21 November. The video shows the landmass flowing like a fluid.
Twitter users shared the video along with the caption, "Satellite image of earthquake taking place in Indonesia. No escape for those caught in the active earthquake zone. Everything destroyed in the path of the earthquake."
Fact Check
NewsMeter performed a reverse image search of the video's keyframe and found the same satellite images in a 2018 article by CNN. It said after a deadly earthquake and tsunami in Indonesia, satellite images showed entire neighbourhoods and even a bridge swept away. It also mentioned that the earthquake triggered a tsunami which led to soil liquefaction.
On 2 October 2018, CNN posted a video showing the same satellite images on its Facebook page. The video is titled "Satellite images show Indonesia's earthquake devastation."
We also found the same satellite images in an article published by the Associated Press on 9 October 2018. It said that an earthquake of 7.5 magnitude triggered not just a tsunami but also led to soil liquefaction that swallowed entire neighbourhoods.
Further, we also found the viral time-lapse video uploaded on YouTube on 8 October 2018. It is titled "Crazy! Satellite Timelapse Shows Liquefaction During Indonesia Earthquake."
The video was also shared on Twitter on 6 October 2018 by the head of BNPB (the national agency for disaster countermeasures in Indonesia), Sutopo Purwo Nugroho.
It is evident that the viral video shows satellite images of the earthquake-triggered tsunami that hit Indonesia in 2018. It is not related to the 21 November 2022 earthquake. Hence, the claim is misleading.
