Claim:Mexican police bust hi-tech racket using numerous smartphones to artificially boost YouTube views for Tollywood producers.
Fact:False. The video is AI-generated.

Hyderabad: A video claiming to show a police raid on a fake YouTube views generation hub, which farms views and clicks for money, is being widely circulated on social media.

In the viral clip, uniformed personnel appear to enter a location and discover multiple smartphones arranged in a setup, allegedly used to fake authentic views on YouTube. The visuals show officers inspecting the devices and examining equipment during what is claimed to be an organised raid in Mexico.

Those sharing the video claim Telugu film industry producers are employing such click farms to boost viewership for their content.

What is a click farm?

A click farm refers to a setup where individuals or automated systems are used to artificially increase clicks, views or engagement on online content. This is typically done to manipulate popularity metrics on platforms like YouTube.

Workers or automated setups generate repeated interactions, making the activity appear similar to genuine user behaviour, which makes such practices difficult to detect.

But does the video show a real click farm?

Fact Check

NewsMeter found that the claim is false. The clip is AI-generated.

Examination of the visuals

A close analysis of the video reveals several inconsistencies typical of AI-generated content. In one part of the clip, a police officer’s hand appears without clearly defined fingers.

The badges and insignia on the uniforms do not match those used by official police forces. In the final moments of the video, the cap worn by one of the officers shows a distorted and unclear emblem.

These anomalies, including unnatural body features, inconsistent uniform details and distorted symbols, are common indicators of synthetic visuals.

Examination of video using AI tools

Further analysis using AI detection tools such as Hive Moderation and Deepfake-O-Meter flagged the clip with a high probability of being synthetically generated using AI.

The viral video does not show a police raid on a fake YouTube views generation hub. It is an AI-generated clip.

Therefore, the claim is false.
