Hyderabad: An image of Coca-Cola can is going viral on social media. The tagline says: 'Try to be less white'.



Fact Check:

NewsMeter found the claim is false.

We used Google reverse image search tool to verify the viral claim. We did not find any authentic report in the search which corroborates the viral claims. Although we found the background image of the viral picture, it did not have the text written in English.

The original image is a stock image of 2014, which can be viewed by clicking here.


We also searched the social media accounts and website of The Coca-Cola Company, but we could not find any information. Coca-Cola (facebook.com)

Vishwas News- a fact-checking website contacted coca-cola the company over mail regarding the claim. In its response, the company's Consumer Interaction Centre said the viral picture has not been released by the company.ā€Ž

Also, we observed that Coco-Cola has not used any taglines or written text on their product like the claim. See in the below picture to notice the difference


Hence, it is evident that the claim is false. The text on Coco Cola can is edited.
