Hyderabad: A video of what seems to be a body being wheeled out of the White House has set the Internet on fire.

The viral video has sparked a conspiracy theory that either US President Joe Biden or his body double is dead and is being wheeled out. The video has been doing rounds since 2022.

Sharing the video, a social media user asked, “Is that a body? Is this real?” Replying to the post, another user retweeted, “Yuuuup. That’s Joe Biden.”

A conspiracy theorist also claimed that the video shows a Biden clone being replaced.

NewsMeter found the claim to be false and promoted a conspiracy theory.

We started our investigation by searching for any credible media report on the demise of the US President as such an event would be highly newsworthy. But we could not find a single media firm reporting the claim supporting the video.

Moreover, the time stamp on the video dates to June 23, 2022. It should be noted that Biden has made multiple media appearances after this date.

What is hard to ascertain are the contents of the bags shown in the video. The viral video features a black bag following the first bag which is said to be a body bag. The simple question here is, why would a President of the United States be secretly brought out of the White House in a body bag?

The video comes under the realm of conspiracy theorists whose ‘truth’ is just based on vague and wild theories than hard facts.

Though the contents of the bags are unclear, it is clear that US President Joe Biden is alive and has made multiple media appearances even after the date of the release of the video. The most recent one related to India is his meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the latter's visit.
