Fact Check: Video game clip shared as Israeli sniper killing Hamas fighter
The video does not show a real incident. It is a military simulation created using Arma 3, a video game simulator.

Hyderabad: Amidst the Israel-Hamas war, a video which shows a sniper shooting armed people is viral on social media. Users claim that the video has Hamas fighters being killed by high-range weapons.
A Facebook user shared the video with the caption, “Hamas terrorists are killed with these types of weapons. He is dying without even knowing where the firing is coming from, that’s Israel. (sic)”

NewsMeter found that the video does not show a real incident. It is a military simulation created using Arma 3, a video game simulator.
Upon a reverse image search of the video’s keyframe, we found the longer version of the video on YouTube, published by a channel named Markus Ram on October 9, 2023, titled ‘Sniper Israel kills Hamas fighters.’
However, in the video’s description, it is mentioned that the simulation was created using the Arma 3.
Next, we checked the About section of the channel and found that the channel owner creating sniper simulations in war.
Further, we skimmed through the channel and found several videos of sniper simulations. One of the video’s descriptions says ‘PC military simulation was created with Arma 3.’

Hence, we conclude that the viral video does not show Hamas fighters being killed. The claim is false.
