Gadar 2-The Katha was released on 11th August 2023. People are thronging to theaters to watch the movie. NewsMeter found the claim to be false as the reason behind the fight was intoxication.

We started our investigation by performing a keyword search and found a media report in The Free Press Journal that states that a fight broke out between two intoxicated individuals during the Gadar screening at a theatre in Bareilly.

The report mentions that the dispute happened at Prasad Cinema in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. The fight broke out during the last screening of the film at Prasad Talkies in the Kotwali area at 11 p.m. The brawl turned into chaos as the two were also hitting the audience nearby.
