A Facebook user shared the video claiming it shows four Muslim men in Bihar molesting a Hindu girl. The user has also claimed lack of action from the police. (Archive)

NewsMeter found that there is no communal angle in the Gaya incident.
We ran a keyword search and found tweets by a local media outlet, True Story, featuring the same video. According to the tweet, the incident took place in Gulariya Chak village of Gaya under the jurisdiction of the Magadh Medical College police station. It said when the couple were talking, four to five men arrived at the spot and molested the girl in front of her boyfriend and filmed their video.
It also said the police arrested the two accused while three others are on the run. The arrested accused were identified as Jitendra Kumar, son of Kishori Yadav, and Abhishek Kumar, son of Sanjay Kumar.
On 29 May, ABP Bihar also reported the incident with similar details.
The official handle of the Gaya police tweeted a press release dated 30 May about the arrest of the two accused and also shared a video statement of SP Himanshu stating that upon learning about the viral video, the police promptly acted by filing an FIR. He said two of the five accused were identified as Jitendra Kumar and Abhishek Kumar, and the places of the other three accused, who were also identified, were being raided.
In another tweet, the Gaya police released a press release announcing the arrest of the third accused, Nitish Kumar. It also categorically denied any communal angle associated with the incident.
From this, we can conclude that there is no communal angle in the Gaya molestation video, and the claim is false.
