A video of Tigers roaming on a road at night is viral on social media. Users claim that tigers were sighted on Panchgani – Mahabaleshwar road on the night of Aug 19, 2021.
This video was also shared by the Chairman of Mahindra Group Anand Mahindra. "So our XUV isn't the only big cat on the highway… Magnificent," he said.
The thumbnail of the video reads: "Tigers sighted on Panchgani – Mahabaleswar Road … 19-8-21."
Several users have shared the same video with the caption: "Tigers sighted on Panchgani – Mahabaleswar Road".
After Anand Mahindra shared the tweet, the video went viral. Several mainstream media too published articles on the video.

The viral video shared is NOT recent. The claim is MISLEADING.
When we searched the keyframes extracted from the video using Google Reverse image search, we could not find the exact location. There are several videos that are uploaded in 2019. They state that the video is from Tadoba-Andhari-National Park.
Here are some links for the Tadoba Andhari National Park and its Tiger Safari.
On the website Tadobaandharinationalpark.com, Tadoba Buffer zones are given, where we could not find Panchgani – Mahabaleshwar road.
On July 1, 2021, Indian Forest Service Officer Sushant Nanda shared the same video with the caption: "Linear projects through tiger habitats... Somewhere in Western India. Shared by a colleague".
But some of the comments on this tweet also suggested that the location is Tadoba.
Therefore, the video from 2019 is shared as recent. Though the exact location could not be found, several posts suggest that the video is from Tadoba National Park. The claim is MISLEADING.
