Several videos have gone viral as footage of the Jaipur-Ajmer gas tanker explosion.

Fact: The claim is false. The videos are from different accidents and are not related to the Jaipur gas tanker explosion.
Hyderabad: A tragic accident occurred on December 20 early morning when a tanker carrying liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction on the Jaipur-Ajmer highway. The fire caused by the collision spread rapidly across a 300-meter stretch, engulfing three dozen vehicles in flames. At least 12 people lost their lives.
Amid this news, three videos featuring explosions have surfaced on social media, claiming to show the Jaipur gas tanker explosion.

NewsMeter found that the claim is false.
Using the keyframes from the video, we found the video in a report published by Daily Mailās official YouTube channel on August 7, 2018. The report stated that the video was CCTV footage from Italy.
The description stated that the footage shows a petrol tanker crashing into vehicles on a motorway bridge near Bologna airport, Italy. The burning vehicles later caused a massive explosion. A victim of the collision was identified as the tankerās 41-year-old driver. Around 70 people were injured, some with serious burns.

The description stated that the moment of the huge Beirut explosion was caught on camera by social media users.

NewsMeter found that the claim is false. The video is of a gas station explosion in Russia.
A reverse image search of a keyframe from the video led us to an X post which shared the video on October 15, 2024. The post said that the explosion occurred at a fuel station in Grozny, the capital of the Chechen Republic, Russia.

Following this lead, we found a CNN-News18 YouTube video dated October 13, 2024, matching the viral video.
The description stated that four people, including two children, were killed in the October 12, 2024, explosion at a Grozny fuel station.
Therefore, we conclude that the viral videos do not show the Jaipur-Ajmer gas tanker explosion.
