Social media users claim that the picture was clicked during his ongoing Bharat Jodo Yatra. Other Congress leaders Digvijay Singh and Sachin Pilot can also be seen in the picture.

NewsMeter performed a reverse image search to find the original picture. We found a tweet with a similar image. It was posted on the official Twitter handle of INC. On analyzing the tweets carefully, we found that the photos are from an event from Bharat Jodo Yatra in Madhya Pradesh when Namdev Das Tyagi, aka Computer Baba, came to meet Rahul Gandhi. It is dated December 3, 2022.

For further confirmation, we found a video on the official youtube channel of THE TRIBUNE titled 'Computer Baba joins Bharat Jodo Yatra, walks along with Rahul Gandhi, Kamal Nath in MP's Mahudiya' where you can see the real entities whose faces are photoshopped in the viral image.

Hence, the viral image is morphed.
