Hyderabad: An image of the Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg reportedly holding a book titled ‘On the Jews and Their Lies,’ a 16th-century publication known for its anti-Judaic and antisemitic content written by German Reformation leader Martin Luther, is doing the rounds on social media.

After the Israel-Hamas conflict started on October 7, Greta Thunberg took to X to express solidarity with Gaza and Palestine. She was also part of a pro-Palestinian rally outside the Israeli Embassy in Stockholm on November 22. Since then, she has been facing criticism from Israeli and pro-Israeli people.

NewsMeter found that the original image shows Greta holding her book titled ‘The Climate Book.’

Upon a reverse image search, we found the original image on X, posted by the verified handle of Thunberg on 15 February 2023. “I’m so pleased to share that The Climate Book is now available in the USA and Canada! I have gathered the wisdom of over one hundred contributors to highlight the many different crises we face and equip us with the knowledge we need to avoid a climate disaster,” read the caption.
