Hyderabad: A video showing a schoolgirl in uniform crossing a fast-flowing stream using a makeshift zipline is viral on the internet. Social Media users claim that the video is from India.

Fact Check
NewsMeter found that the video is from Colombia in South America.
On performing a reverse image search of the videoās keyframe, we found the same visuals in a Spanish video report tweeted on 15 June 2022 by Colombia-based news outlet āLas Noticias de Telecaribeā. As per the caption, the video is from Puerto Mosquito, Santa Marta, Colombia.
Taking a cue from this, we ran a keyword search in Spanish and found stills from the video in an article published by the Spanish website Semana. As per the website, the video is from Puerto Mosquito, a village in the rural area of Santa Marta. It said that the video shows indigenous school children of the Narakajmanta community crossing the mighty Gaira River using an improvised pulley.

Another Spanish news website Publimetro in a report published on 15 June 2022, carried the stills from the video and said that the video shows children crossing the Gaira River and is from the village Puerto Mosquito in Santa Marta, Colombia.
Hence, we conclude that the video is from Colombia in South America, and the claim is false.
