Fact Check
NewsMeter found that the viral video has been digitally altered.
The viral video has the logo of ETV Telangana, and some users have claimed that the video is from an Opposition rally in Kolkata.
Taking these clues, we searched for the video using keywords on the YouTube channel of ETV Telangana and found an extended version of it published on 19 January 2019. The video is titled āTMC Rally in Kolkata | PM Modi & Amit Shahās Combo has Finished Country | says Arvind Kejriwal.ā
At around the 5.40-minute mark, the viral clip appears in the video. However, we found that Arvind Kejriwal said if the duo, Modi and Shah, come to power again, they will destroy this ādeshā (country). The word ādeshā has been replaced with āPakistanā in the viral video.
Finally, we searched for Opposition rally in Kolkata in 2019 and found that over 20 Opposition leaders had attended West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjeeās mega United India Rally in Kolkata held on 19 January 2019.
The rally was also attended by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. However, we did not find any report about Arvind Kejriwal saying in this rally that if Modi and Shah come to power again, they will destroy Pakistan.
Hence, we conclude that the viral video is doctored, and the claim that Arvind Kejriwal had predicted before the 2019 Parliamentary election that Pakistan will be ruined if Modi wins the election is false.
