The video had been clipped to manipulate Priyanka’s speech. In the full and original video of her speech, she praises the Chhattisgarh government and its leadership.

Hyderabad: A video of Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra purportedly calling the leadership of the Congress-led Chhattisgarh government “selfish and hungry for power” is viral on social media.
In the video, she could be heard allegedly saying, “You all must have often thought that people run a lot after power, especially leaders. In my experience, I have seen leaders only interested in grabbing power. They are ambitious and want the power to increase their respect, collect money and build big palaces. And I can proudly say that today the leadership of the Congress party in Chhattisgarh is of this kind. (Translated from Hindi)”
An X user shared the video with the caption, “Priyanka Gandhi spoke the truth about Bhupesh Baghel and Congress leaders during her speech, because of which he had to apologise in the Congress office. (Translated from Hindi)”

NewsMeter found that the video had been clipped to manipulate Priyanka’s speech. In the full and original video of her speech, she praises the Chhattisgarh government and its leadership.
We ran a relevant keyword search and came across a video published on September 22 on the verified YouTube channel of Priyanka Gandhi, titled ‘Chhattisgarh has become a model of women’s prosperity.’
At around 16:20 minutes, the viral clip appears in the video. She says, “You all must have often thought that people run a lot after power, especially leaders. In my experience, I have seen leaders only interested in grabbing power. They are ambitious and want the power to increase their respect, collect money and build big palaces. That’s one type of leader.”
She adds, “But there is another type of leader too. Those who want power so that they can do good for the people through that power. And I can proudly say that today the leadership of the Congress party in Chhattisgarh is of this kind. They use power to bring welfare for all.”
The above excerpt from Vadra’s speech confirms that she had praised the leadership of the Chhattisgarh state government.
We also found an over two-hour video live streamed on September 21 on the Congress Party YouTube Channel titled ‘Smt Priyanka Gandhi addresses Mahila Samridhi Sammelan in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh.’ In this video, Vadra’s speech starts at 1:24 hours. We did not find her speaking against the leadership of the Chhattisgarh government in this video either.
Hence, we conclude that the viral video has been clipped and manipulated to show Vadra speaking against the Congress-led Chhattisgarh state government.
