Why this 'Kolaveri Di': Turkish Coca-Cola ad was released 4 years after Tamil number

HYDERABAD: Social media users claim the 'Kolaveri Di' tune was copied from a Turkish Coca-Cola advertisement.
Multiple Facebook and Twitter have shared this Turkish commercial with the caption, "Old Turkish advt song of Coca Cola from which the Kolaveri D song music was picked.".
FACT CHECK:
A keyword search led to an article by Indian Express from 2015 that suggested Coca-Cola released an ad in Turkey that used a local cover of the song "Why this Kolaveri Di". Many websites like Media4News, Campaign India and ScoopWhoop also suggest that the Turkish Coca-Cola ad was a cover of the 'Kolaveri Di' song. The cover was released in 2015 and was shared by multiple users on Youtube too.

NewsMeter cannot independently verify that the song was a commercial belonging to Coca-Cola as the commercial in Turkey is no longer available on the YouTube page of Coca-Cola. But it should be noted that the commercial aired in 2015, years after the 'Kolaveri Di' song was released.
The 'Kolaveri Di' song was released in November 2011 and featured Tamil actor Dhanush. It was composed by Anirudh and Sony Music India uploaded the song on their YouTube channel in 2011.
Evidently, it is clear that the "Kolaveri Di" song was not copied from the commercial. The commercial was released four years after the original was released.
