HYDERABAD: An image of a healthcare worker in a PPE suit carrying a patient on a stretcher with the construction boards of Central Vista in the background is circulating on social media.

"Central vista project in Delhi declared an essential service. Work continues," reads the caption.

The Central Vista project refers to the construction of India's central administrative area located in New Delhi. Netizens claim that although only essential services are allowed to take place during the pandemic, the Central Vista project is openly flouting rules.

We performed a reverse image search and found several articles with the same image of the Central Vista boards. The images in the articles match the viral image. However, in the articles, the health care provider and patient are missing. This indicates that the viral image was photoshopped.

Another reverse image search led to the original picture of the healthcare provider and the patient. Reuters captioned the image, "A health worker wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) carries a patient suffering from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outside the casualty ward at Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, in New Delhi, India, April 24, 2021"

With the above images, it is clear that the viral image has been photoshopped using two different images and shared with a false claim.
