FACT CHECK:

We performed a reverse image search and found the same image on a website that stated the Chief Minister took a holy dip in the Sangam in the Prayagraj Kumbh Mela. We also found a similar image in a Deccan Herald article from 2019 whose description mentioned that the image is from the 2019 Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj.

We searched online for more pictures and found several news reports that carried similar images from the 2019 Mela. This was also reported by ANI, a news agency.

Yogi Adityanath had surprised many by holding a cabinet meeting at the Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj and had followed it by a holy dip in river Ganga. BJP president Amit Shah had also taken a holy dip in the Ganges with Adityanath.

Furthermore, no reports were found on Adityanath taking part in the Kumbh this year. Evidently, an old image of UP CM taking a dip at Kumbh Mela was shared as a recent one.
