Meanwhile, a video of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh relishing jalebi has been circulating on social media. Those sharing the video claim it shows a celebration from the BJP leaders after the stay on the new UGC regulations.

The text in the video reads, “With the UGC being removed, Yogi ji said there will be a jalebi party today.”

An Instagram user shared the video with the caption, “Yogi ji UGC remove jalebi party.”

We conducted a reverse image search of the video’s keyframes and found the footage published by Bharat 24 on January 1. According to the channel, the video shows Yogi and Rajnath Singh eating jalebis and enjoying lighter moments.


Vistaar News published the video on January 2, reporting the same.

Times Now and Republic Bharat published the video on January 1. Times Now reported that Singh and CM Yogi were seen enjoying jalebi at Hanumangarhi. Republic Bharat stated that amid the seriousness of politics, such moments occasionally surface to display the warmth and affection in relationships.

The outlet highlighted how Yogi shared a light moment by feeding jalebi to Singh—a scene that not only reflects the friendship between the leaders but also underscores the human side of Indian politics.

Therefore, we conclude that the claim of Yogi and Rajnath Singh enjoying jalebis after the Supreme Court ordered a stay on the new UGC regulations is false. The video is old and unrelated.
