Fact Check
NewsMeter found the claim to be false, as the video shows a mock drill in Jharkhand.
A reverse image search of keyframes from the video led us to its longer version posted on a YouTube channel on September 28. According to the channel, the footage shows a mock drill conducted in Ritudih, Bokaro, Jharkhand.
The viral clip appears in this video after the 1-minute mark.
Taking a cue from this, we conducted a keyword search in Hindi and found three videos of the mock drill with similar visuals posted by the X handle of Bokaro Police on September 27.
According to the post, police in Bokaro conducted mock drills at two locations, Police Line Sector 12 and Ritudih, ahead of Dussehra 2025. The exercise, overseen by the Superintendent of Police, Bokaro and other senior officers, focused on training personnel to manage emergencies and riot situations.
A local media outlet, Star City 24 Jharkhand-Bihar, also published a video of a mock drill on September 27. The channel stated that a rehearsal for riot control and emergency preparedness was conducted by Bokaro Police ahead of the Dussehra festival.
Therefore, we conclude that the video is not from Uttar Pradesh. The footage shows a mock drill by the police ahead of the Dussehra festival in Bokaro, Jharkhand. Hence, the claim is false.
