Fake wedding invite of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor goes viral
By Newsmeter Network Published on 24 Oct 2019 12:12 PM GMTMumbai: A fake wedding Invitation announcing the wedding dates of Bollywood actors Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor has gone viral. The invite claims the duo are set to get married on January 22, 2020.
The card reads: āMrs Neetu and Mr Rishi Kapoor cordially invite you for the āSaganā ceremony of their son Ranbir with Aliya (D/0 Mrs Soni and Mr Mukesh Bhatt) on Wednesday, 22th January 2020, 5.00 pm onwards. Venue: Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur.ā
If we look closely at the card, we see that it is full of typos and incorrect information.
Firstly, the card misspells Alia as āAliyaā and mentions her as the daughter of āMs Soni Razdan and Mr Mukesh Bhattā, which is a blunder. Alia is the daughter of Soni Razdan and Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt is her uncle. The date reads ā22th Januaryā instead of 22nd January.
The invite claims Ranbirās parents Rishi and Neetu Kapoor are hosting the āSagan ceremony.ā āSaganā is a traditional ceremony held before the marriage where relatives from both the groom and brideās family get to know each other and exchange sweets.

This is not the first time that rumours about Ranbir and Aliaās marriage are doing the rounds. Earlier this year, similar rumours also had gone viral. Aliaās mother, Ms Soni Razdan, had denied them, adding that she did not want to discuss her daughterās personal life openly.
