Father refuses to give Tab to play, boy jumps to death in Miyapur

Hyderabad: Angered by his father for not giving him his Tablet to play, a class VI student jumped to death at Miyapur, Hyderabad on Saturday. 12-year-old N Bala Venkata Satya Prasad was angry that his father N Srinivas, took away his tab from him and gave to his elder brother N Nanda Kishore.

Further, he had allegedly asked his father to not go to work. But as his father went to work, the boy allegedly got upset and took this extreme step.

According to police, N Srinivas, the father of the student, is working as a supervisor in a private construction company at Serilingampally, is residing in the penthouse of a G+5 building in Manjeera pipeline road at Miyapur with his family. N Bala Venkata Satya Prasad(12) is in class VI, while his brother Nanda Kishore(14) is in class VIII in Maharshi Vidyalayam school at Kondapur.

According to police sources, the boys were at home on February 29. While Satya Prasad was playing with the tab, Nanda Kishore was doing some work. Later at around 2 in the afternoon, both the boys started quarrelling over the Tab. Srinivas interfered and took away the Tab from Satya Prasad and gave it to Nanda Kishore, which made Satya Prasad angry. He immediately went to his father and told him to stay home and not go to work. However, Srinivas had continued to go to work, despite the boy's demand.

Minutes after Srinivas left home, the boy climbed the roof of the penthouse and jumped down. He sustained multiple injuries and died on the spot. Police found that the boy committed suicide as he was upset because of his father taking away tab from him and also not listening to his word and going to work. Miyapur police registered a case and started the investigation.
