Woman drug inspector in ACB trap; Caught accepting gold necklace as bribe

Hyderabad: Bommisetty Lakshmi serving as an in-charge Drug inspector for Hyderabad and Secunderabad was nabbed red-handed accepting bribe of Rs 1.10 lakh in the form of a gold necklace. In a trap laid by the Anti Corruption Bureau, the lady was caught at her residence at Madhuranagar ā Hyderabad.
The female drug inspector (in-charge ) demanded bribe from complainant Lingampally Lakshmi Reddy ā CEO of Janani Voluntary blood bank -located at Bowenpally . The kickbacks were to avoid submitting a report to the Drug inspector against the blood bank. The report was prepared by accused Lakshmi.
Besides this, the accused accepted a bribe of Rs 50,000 while she inspected the blood bank. The drug inspector was arrested, and the gold necklace was recovered.
