According to reports, the entire Indian team will be present to witness the occasion. The DDCA will also name the stadium after its former president and India's former Finance Minister late Arun Jaitley.
According to BCCI sources, the players have been asked to be present in traditional clothes at the event. In the DDCA Annual Honours event, the entire Indian team will be felicitated.
āWhile we pay rich tributes to the departed soul of Jaitley Ji, we also want to recognise the services that our own player, Virat, has done to bring laurels to Indian as well as Delhi cricket," DDCA president Rajat Sharma said.
While lauding Kohli, Mr Sharma said, "Several of Virat's achievements are mind-boggling. He is one of those rare species and the player's pavilion stand named after him at the Arun Jaitley Stadium is the just recognition for his contribution."
