The court was upset that the key posts had remained vacant for long at these important institutions tasked with the protection of people's rights.
A division bench of Chief Justice Raghavendra Singh Chauhan and Justice A Abhishek Reddy gave the instructions to the Telangana government on a public interest litigation (PIL) by social activist K Venkanna.
Earlier, the HC had asked the state to fill up the posts by November 29. On Friday, the judges were disappointed that the state had not honoured the deadline. They said action must be taken by December 20.
Advocate General B S Prasad informed the court that the state had issued a notification on October 30 inviting applications from eligible persons and that the exercise would be completed shortly. The court will hear the matter next on December 30.
