Four-year-old Medchal boy falls in open pit, dies

Hyderabad: A four-year-old toddler died after he accidentally fell in a pit that was dug by a vehicle service center at Medchal on Monday The boy, identified as Anjaneyulu, came to the area for playing. As the area was not barricaded, he walked to the construction site near his house and not noticing the pit fell in it. The incident was captured by CCTV cameras fitted near the site.
The boy's family migrated to the city from the Siddipet district. While the parents were working as daily labourers, the boy was at home.
His parents, who started searching for him, found him in the pit later. He was pulled out and shifted to hospital, but was declared dead. Family members demanded action against the servicing center and also compensation for the loss of life.
