Four youth who stormed actor Mohan Babu’s mansion at Jalpally, arrested

Hyderabad: Police on Sunday arrested four youth who stormed the highly secured Manchu Township at Jalpally village on the outskirts of Hyderabad on Saturday.

The township is owned by Tollywood star Manchu Mohan Babu and his family.

The accused have been identified as Raghav Biradar, 30, Gowtham Rao, 23, Kongari Anand, 24, and Singa Raju David, 22. Sources said they told police that they wanted to take a look at the film stars shooting in the township.

With the arrest, the actor’s family had heaved a sigh of relief. Earlier, it was revealed that the youngsters had hurled abuses at the actor and warned him of dire consequences. The incident had sent shock waves across the film fraternity.

A case was registered at Pahadi Shareef police station and special teams were formed to nab the culprits. Based on CCTV footage, technical evidence, and other clues, police traced the vehicle on Sunday and nabbed all the four accused.

On inquiry, they admitted that they entered the township after noticing that the main gate was open. They told the police that they did not threaten anyone, but had a small argument with the guards.

Police meanwhile are also conducting their thorough background check and verifying their call data records to analyze if they had any other motives.
