France couple gives new home to abandoned 8-year-old girl Pushpa

Visakhapatnam: For eight-year-old girl Madari Pushpa, September 9 is an unforgettable day in her life as Pushpa who lived at the Generation Yuva Child Care Institute in Vizag was adopted by prospective parents Le Guen Alain and Delon Isabelle of France following an inter-country adoption facilitated by District Collector V Vinay Chand and the district women and child development agency.

The 54-year-old Le Guen Alain and 45-year-old Delon Isabelle are Primary Teachers in Academie De Renne. The France based couple told that they came across information about child adoption online and contacted the authorities in India. We came down to meet the child and adopted the girl Madari Pushpa.

Pushpa, now renamed Pushpa Le Guen, was found abandoned at birth on July 13, 2011, and she lived at the Generation Yuva Child Care Institute in Vizag. District Collector Vinay Chand said the legal measures taken before the child is given in adoption.

Before declaring her ready for adoption, we have checked with the police for any missing person FIR, we had placed notification with her photograph, but nobody came forward to claim the child. After procuring the required green signal for the adoption of the girl, we had placed the details online, and finally, Le Guen Alain and Delon Isabelle of France came forward to adopt the special child. We cross-checked the background and monthly income of the couple and found that they will be able to support the child and decided to hand her over to couple said District Child Protection Officer, Vizag, A Satyanarayana.

In August, 4-year-old boy Sai Vidwan, who lived in Government Sishugriha in Vizag adopted by Tima Norine Sheikh of Sweden, Satyanarayana added.
