Genpact employee commits suicide, family blames husband
By Newsmeter Network Published on 18 May 2020 6:49 PM GMTHyderabad: A 33-year-old Genpact employee committed suicide after she was allegedly harassed by her husband at Uppal in Hyderabad.
Identified as T Srilatha, she allegedly hanged herself at her home. Her parents alleged that she took the extreme step after she was fed up with her husband's harassment.
According to police, Srilatha and Satish were married for six years and have a five-year-old son. While Srilatha worked at Genpact, Satish runs a pre-owned car sales agency.
Due to the lockdown, their son was residing with her parents. On Sunday, she borrowed Rs 20,000 from her parents to pay her EMI. On Monday, she asked her husband to visit the bank and pay the EMI.
When Satish returned home, he found Srilatha hanging from the ceiling. Her parents alleged that Satish had been harassing her for a very long time over petty issues.
Based on their complaint, police registered a case against Satish under sections 306 and 498 A of the IPC. The investigation has been started.
