Swedish national stuck in an Indigo flight toilet, causing emergency landing in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A Swedish national, on board a Hyderabad-bound Indigo Airlines flight created a nuisance when he got stuck in the aircraft's toilet. The incident forced the plane to make an emergency landing at the RGI Airport on Friday. The CISF personnel at the airport broke into the bathroom and found him naked, with his head stuck in the commode. CISF immediately detained Sager and handed him over to the airport police.

Meanwhile, tension prevailed inside the aircraft, the passenger was stuck inside the toilet for a very long time. The flight was on its way to Hyderabad from Goa.

According to sources, boarded the flight at Goa and had a connecting flight to Delhi from Hyderabad. Mid-air, the cabin crew noticed that he went into the toilet but did not come out after a long time. They tried calling him, but there was no response from inside. They immediately alerted the flight captain and the same was communicated to the Air Traffic Control at the RGI airport. After which the aircraft made an emergency landing during the afternoon.

CISF teams were deployed, and as soon as the aircraft landed, they off-loaded all passengers safely and took control of the plane. Then a team proceeded towards the toilet and gained entry by breaking the toilet door. They found him naked with his head stuck in the commode. He was immediately shifted to Apollo Hospital at the airport. Doctors found that he was in an extremely abnormal mental condition and advised him to be moved to Osmania Hospital. It is suspected that he could be on some drugs, resulting in his unusual behaviour. Further inquiries are underway.
